# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It bakes itself while you shower or read, no stirring required.
  • The texture is somehow creamy and chewy at once, nothing like instant oats.
  • Leftovers taste even better the next day, cold or reheated.
02 -
  • If you skip rinsing the buckwheat, the porridge can taste bitter and gritty.
  • Don't uncover it too early or the grains won't cook through evenly.
  • If it looks too dry after 35 minutes, add a splash of milk before the final bake.
03 -
  • Toast your buckwheat lightly in a dry pan before baking for deeper, nuttier flavor.
  • Use a shallow dish if you like more crispy edges, or a deeper one for softer texture throughout.
  • Bake two dishes at once and freeze one in portions for mornings when you don't want to think.
