# Ingredient List:

→ Chicken

01 - 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz each)

→ Marinade

02 - 3 tbsp olive oil
03 - 2 tbsp fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)
04 - 1 tbsp lime zest
05 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 2 tsp chili powder
07 - 1 tsp ground cumin
08 - 1 tsp smoked paprika
09 - 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
10 - 1 tsp salt
11 - 1/2 tsp black pepper

→ Garnish

12 - Fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
13 - Lime wedges

# How to Make It:

01 - In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, lime zest, garlic, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, cayenne (if using), salt, and black pepper until well combined.
02 - Place chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Seal and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours for more flavor.
03 - Preheat grill to medium-high heat, approximately 400°F.
04 - Remove chicken from marinade and let excess drip off. Discard leftover marinade.
05 - Grill chicken breasts for 6–8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
06 - Transfer chicken to a plate, cover loosely with foil, and let rest for 5 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
07 - Slice and serve garnished with chopped cilantro and lime wedges.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The marinade comes together in minutes but makes you look like you planned all week
  • Leftovers (if they exist) make incredible tacos or salad toppers the next day
02 -
  • Dont marinate longer than 2 hours or the lime will start breaking down the texture too much
  • Letting the chicken rest is the difference between juicy and dry, seriously do not skip this step
03 -
  • Pound the thicker end of each breast gently so they cook evenly
  • Oil your grill grates right before adding the chicken to prevent sticking
