Citrus Basil Smoothie (Printable Version)

# Ingredient List:

→ Fruit

01 - 1 large orange, peeled and segmented
02 - 1/2 grapefruit, peeled and segmented
03 - 1/2 cup pineapple chunks, fresh or frozen

→ Herbs

04 - 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, packed

→ Liquids

05 - 1/2 cup coconut water or plain water
06 - 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

→ Sweeteners

07 - 1 tablespoon maple syrup or agave nectar, optional

→ Ice

08 - 1 cup ice cubes

# How to Make It:

01 - Place orange segments, grapefruit segments, pineapple chunks, fresh basil leaves, coconut water, lime juice, and sweetener if using into blender canister.
02 - Add ice cubes to blender on top of other ingredients.
03 - Blend on high speed until completely smooth and creamy, approximately 1-2 minutes, stopping occasionally to scrape down sides of blender container.
04 - Taste smoothie and adjust sweetness or citrus balance as desired by adding more sweetener or lime juice.
05 - Pour into glasses and serve immediately, garnished with additional fresh basil leaves if preferred.
