Maple Mustard Glazed Salmon (Printable Version)

Oven-roasted salmon with sweet maple and tangy Dijon mustard glaze, ready in 25 minutes.

# Ingredient List:

→ For the Salmon

01 - 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each), skin-on or skinless
02 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
03 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

→ For the Maple Mustard Glaze

04 - 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
05 - 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
06 - 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
07 - 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
08 - 1 teaspoon olive oil
09 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
02 - Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
03 - In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, lemon juice, olive oil, and garlic powder until smooth.
04 - Arrange the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down if applicable.
05 - Brush each fillet generously with the maple mustard glaze, reserving a small amount for serving.
06 - Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon is just cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Thicker fillets may require an extra minute or two.
07 - Remove from the oven and brush with the reserved glaze. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh herbs or lemon wedges, if desired.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The sweet and tangy glaze caramelizes into the most gorgeous sticky coating
  • It comes together in under 30 minutes but tastes like you spent all day cooking
02 -
  • Dry salmon equals crispy glaze. Pat it thoroughly with paper towels before seasoning
  • The glaze burns quickly so do not wander far from the oven during those last few minutes
03 -
  • Real maple syrup is non negotiable. The artificial stuff never develops that deep caramel flavor
  • Room temperature salmon cooks more evenly than cold straight from the fridge
