# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The contrast between bubbling tart berries and that buttery almond crunch is absolutely addictive
  • It works equally well for a lazy weekend breakfast or an impromptu dinner party dessert
  • You can throw it together with whatever berries you have on hand and it still turns out gorgeous
02 -
  • The bubbling you see around the edges is exactly what you want that means the cornstarch has done its job thickening everything
  • Letting it cool for those 15 minutes feels impossible but it makes the difference between a cohesive dish and a soupy mess
03 -
  • Rub the lemon zest into the sugar with your fingers before adding it to the berries to release all those aromatic oils
  • If using frozen berries do not thaw them first just toss them frozen and add an extra 5 to 10 minutes baking time
