01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9-inch baking dish.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, toss together berries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla until evenly coated. Spread mixture in the prepared baking dish.
03 - In a separate bowl, blend rolled oats, flour, sliced almonds, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add cold, diced butter and vanilla extract; work together with fingers or a pastry cutter until coarse crumbs form.
04 - Distribute the crisp topping evenly over the berry mixture.
05 - Bake for 35 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the berry filling is bubbling around the edges.
06 - Allow the crisp to rest for at least 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream.
